Bringing Dignity, Rehabilitation, and Reintegration to Tennessee’s Incarcerated
Tennessee’s prisoners and their families deserve safety, dignity, and accountability, yet too often, those basic rights are not guaranteed.
Kylan’s Light was created to advocate for change, raise awareness, and ensure that every life is treated with humanity.
Why Kylan’s Light Exists
Tim Leeper created Kylan’s Light after the loss of his son, Kylan Leeper, to advocate for incarcerated individuals and their families — and to ensure their rights are recognized, protected, and upheld.
This work is about dignity, accountability, and building a better system for those impacted by incarceration.
After losing his son, Tim Leeper made it his mission to shine a light on systemic failures within Tennessee’s correctional system and advocate for meaningful reform.
What began as personal loss has become a movement for awareness, accountability, and change.
